Sabrin Beg is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware. She is a development economist specializing in the economics of human capital and in political economy. She focuses on vulnerable populations in the developing world, including students and farmers. Her work includes randomized controlled trials in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Ghana. Her research also uses rich administrative data to understand behaviour of politicians in developing countries and the subsequent effect on economic outcomes. Sabrin received her PhD and MA in Economics from Yale University and her BA in Economics and Mathematics from Wellesley College. Prior to becoming an economist, Sabrin worked in investment banking.

Jason Kerwin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. He specializes in the use of randomized field experiments to understand health and labour markets in sub-Saharan Africa. Jason's research topics fall into two broad areas. The first is studying how people form subjective expectations and how those beliefs affect their decision-making processes. The second is labour markets in rural Africa, broadly defined – from choices people make about their effort at work and how to spend their wages to their decisions about their own and their children's education. Jason holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

Khandker Wahedur Rahman is an applied micro-economist with a broad interest in development economics and policy analysis. He uses both randomized control trials (RCTs) and observational data to identify barriers and find solutions to improve social welfare. In particular, his current research focuses on economics of education, migration, and agricultural productivity. Before he began his doctoral program, he graduated from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota with a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree concentrating on advanced policy analysis.
