PROBLEM
School closures - summer holidays, pandemics etc - often result in learning loss and disengagement with learning among students. Lack of access to learning resources and prolonged closures as seen during COVID-19 has exacerbated this. For students in secondary classes there can be a risk of significant drop out, as students don't see value in remaining in schools.
SOLUTION
Critical Thinking (locally called Masti Ki Paathshaala) is an at-home learning programme for students to continue engaging with learning, and develop essential critical thinking skills for improved decision making
DESIGN
The 12-hour self-paced learning programme supports academic and co-scholastic learning for students between the ages of 10-16, and is delivered during - summer breaks, festival-linked holidays, and in instances of pandemic-linked schools closures.
The interactive learning resources offer experiential activities with offline resources wherever possible. The resources build logical reasoning, comprehension, problem-solving and data collection skills while also building foundational capacities in languages and science.
