PROBLEM

Government school Teachers often do not have the training and tools necessary to provide enriching learning experiences for their students. High student numbers, heterogeneous  learning levels and shortage of resources lead to classes where students are dis-engaged, disruptive, and often struggle and lack class level competencies.

SOLUTION

Transform Teaching is a two-year professional development programme for Teachers to improve their teaching competencies and effectiveness, and improve adoption of teacher standards.

DESIGN

Transform Schools’ Teacher Professional Development programme is delivered over two years as part of the State’s in-service teacher training efforts. 

 

Teachers are supported to build subject-matter expertise as well as classroom based pedagogical and management practices through the following modalities - training sessions, self-learning modules, group and individual coaching, and peer networks.
